I have a climbers carabiner with a screw down lockable clasp attached inside my carry-on back pack. When I remove my watch, I loop it (and any of my partners valuable jewelery) into the carabiner then lock it. It’s no Fort Knox level security system but it would slow down a TSA employee with fast fingers.
