I do, and I thank you for the italics. Most people don’t get it: its The Code. The Code is the law. Italicise, for the sake of every botanist on earth, if you use scientific names.
Also, its a scientific name. Not a Latin name.
(Btw, 
any self Canis lupus familiaris (Linnaeus, 1758) would be mad at you for calling scientific names dog Latin, thank you very much. But I see where you are coming from.)
FTR, my spice collection is labelled scientifically so everyone can find the right spices, wether they speak Spanish, English, French, Chinese or whatever they do wherever they grew up.
I admit this causes confusion with some people. But those aren’t allowed to use my kitchen, anyway. They couldn’t savour the moment in any case.
