I actually got to chat with Teller after a show once. Penn was on his celphone constantly, couldn’t be bothered, but with barely any prompting, Teller talked my ear off about Houdini, escape routines, and their new book. Until I asked him about the Houdini water escape he mentioned in one of their books as having gone wrong on TV once, and he went quiet, scowled at me, and walked away in a huff.
