Gad, I misread that as “colonial orgasm thing,” and I wondered what I’d missed on our last trip to Williamsburg.
But yeah, I’ve read about that. But it now appears that mammals with their gut flora (and flora who knows where else) are sort of colonial organisms too. (I don’t know if they get anything out of bonking, though.)
