right now im more than a little glad there isn’t a federal police force. dhs is bad enough. but more oversight might be good.
i think devolving the police relying on dot and the fire department for traffic incidents and traffic tickets, some group for nuisance complaints, social service for domestic calls, bring in trained investigators who are more professional than cop, things like that. ending the war on drugs wouldn’t hurt too
get police off the streets as much as possible, and only bring them in for armed response
i’d think even cops and their unions would be happy to do less
