I’m saying that trademarks often become common parlance as generic identifiers, no matter that the trademark itself has remained valid. It’s just easier to say Kleenex instead of “unbranded soft nasal tissues”, and it’s easier to say muzak instead of “bland inoffensive backround music played in stores restaurants and public places”.
