Putting some teeth in FOIA laws wouldn’t stop them from acquiring land through a shell company. Utilities have public tariffs so the prices have already been published before $BIGCO decides to set up shop.

Once again confirmed is my conviction that you can’t be a self-made millionaire via “honest means.” That is, the only way to amass a huge fortune is to swindle it out of everyone else.

Maybe ten years ago I admired Google and believed they became huge by a team of really clever people, in a technologically innovative kind of way. However they can’t attribute their rise to power to having built a better product, but to trickery! Google was never a “tech” company but just another capitalist machine that simply employs tech as their prybar.
