She’s also renowned among the older drinkers in the ‘harder’ pubs of the East End. It’s a little known fact that she used to regularly nip out of Buck House to have a few pints with ‘Mad’ Frankie Fraser and Jack ‘the Hat’ McVitie.
As you can imagine, what with Frankie and Jack working for different ‘firms’ that could get a bit lively and it was always “Bizzie” Lizzie who acted as enforcer, keeping the peace with a few well applied headbuts or a quick bottling as needed.
