In China, there is an expression “Like chicken ribs” that is used to describe something that feels like a waste to throw away, but probably has less worth than the effort it takes to keep it for something that isn’t chicken stock. I’ve read somewhere that RHCP had so much material from the first double album released on April Fools day, that they went all Leroy Jenkins and pressed out another set.
