I was being optimistic for BBS lasting more years than there were officer ranks, though counting the Admirals of the red, white and blue would help. I think we’d leave out the Yellow.
Since pedantry seem currently in fashion here: Jack actually started the books as a Lieutenant, and is promoted “Master and Commander” in the 1st chapter of the book by that name.
