Charming response and good list of stations (I’ll be keeping these for later), but not all of us have a computer or internet access to listen to them (and not all of us live Down Under); that’s why I said what I said before (about people in the USA in particular) doing this, and using the power of their elected representatives to do so, else-wise, what do they pay taxes for and why are the representatives elected?
And it has to be done; events like [Disco Demolition Night][1][1]: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disco_Demolition_Night happening (but with pop instead of disco) are racist, homophobic, and ageist things that would only provoke anger and cause people to support pop more. Challenging media ownership of radio, trust-busting, and education about different kinds of music will make things better and give us less pop music (be warned though, there are no guarantees of success.)
