It happens in every hobby, which can be very frustrating. I collect certain dolls, which are neither rare nor expensive. But resellers frequently buy up all of the retail stock as soon as they hit the shelves. There’s nothing anyone can really do about it, and in the grand scheme of things it’s not important. But it’s still pretty shitty behavior.
And we’re not even talking about the cultural heritage of millions of people here. Humans, man. We just can’t stop making things hard for one another.
