Saudi King brings 506 tons of luggage on 9-day trip

Packing an elevator is a bit like bringing a portable hole.
A building without an elevator won’t have an elevator shaft, either, so you’d need to bring that, too.

We all know one could get rich by inventing portable holes. But the king already has enough money, so he ignores the chance to get rich all over again and instead just enjoys how incredibly useful it is:

  • “Here are your room keys, sir. It’s room 301, that’s our Royal Suite on the the third floor.”
  • “Where is the elevator?”
  • “I’m sorry, our hotel is a historic building erected in 1642. You can use the stairs to your left.”
  • “Never mind, I’ve brought a spare elevator of my own.”
