Scientists release hundreds of thousands of crabs upon Florida to protect coral reefs

well there ya go.
Carribean kings come from islands farther down south, but still Atlantic side. waters are too warm for spiny urchins to thrive (they would do the same clean-up these crabs offer. see Australia and Pacific coast). but being that we have some king and rock crabs already, it is not exactly invasive, just “moving up” populations of like species.
and yes, the legs and claws are good eating, but nothing beats stone crab claws! oh so big and juicy and sweet! :yum:
