I don’t know if it’s intentional, but judging by those pages, it really doesn’t take advantage of the medium. The images are all stylized and moody in a cool way, but convey basically nothing. After reading stuff like The Sculptor and It’s Lonely At The Centre Of The Earth, it’s hard not to notice the lack of meaningful images or panel layout.
I still might check it out since this doesn’t mean that the story is weak, but there was a real missed opportunity.
