Exactly.
I am totally in favor of social services, and wish we had more, but essentially the way we’re set up in this country right now, we are all subsidizing Wal~Mart and McDonalds and every other business whose full time employees qualify for SNAP benefits and housing and other benefits while the businesses themselves record profits. 
It’s yet another example of the great wealth redistribution from the “poor masses” to the oligarchs.
