I missed the original post, but grammar and vernacular aren’t a measure of intelligence. We tend to associate certain accents or speech patterns with lower intelligence (Southern, Ebonics, certain English accents). But really it has more to do with people around you talk and you emulating them. It has nothing to do with intelligence. There might be some correlation with education levels, but education and intelligence are two different things.
