My favorite cheap fountain pen is the Pilot Kakuno. $8 + shipping from Japan (ebay seller- worth it if you are ordering a bunch of stuff, the seller I’m thinking of has iroshizuku ink for $19), or its $16 from Jetpens.
Amazon now lists this as unavailable. Oh well.
I am looking to get into fountain pens, however. Can anyone suggest a good (and cheap) beginner fountain pen to someone who has never used one? Also, a good beginner ink too.

I’ve been writing with it for about an hour. It is really a different thing in a fountain pen. I am trying to decide how I want to review it. Thinking of trying to video a short writing test/example closely enough to the paper to make it make sense. Lighting may be a challenge. I am set up for still, landscape photography and some street.
