I look at the historical data (including Cleopatra, Catherine the Great, Elizabeth the 1st, Indira Gandhi, Margaret Thatcher etc.) and I can’t tell if men are actually more dangerous in positions of power or if the data shows those with power over others are inclined to use/abuse it and women are just so often denied positions of power.![]()
Whatever the situation is and despite all my reservations about hegemonic power structures I’m still game to see what the world would look like if we gave a rotating lottery-based council of ordinary grandmothers a go at running the show!
