I personally refuse to support Cancer charities… why would I want to fund cancer?
Also, fire insurance? I want the fire to go out, I don’t want it back when it does.

True… they’re not totally stupid: No network features were operational, but it would make an otherwise locked-down machine a machine you could use for your own purposes. They even disable the freaking usb ports when in windows, so booting from a flash drive would then allow you to run your own wireless internet or wifi dongle.
In any case I did it primarily out of curiosity, since my work machine is not a windows machine and I happened to have a bootable flash drive with ubuntu on me that day. But thanks for the heads up
