On one hand, this kind of reasoning makes people think that despite the incredible rate of police killing young black men, we can’t say any individual incident shows racial bias.
On the other hand, we have people arguing that Starbucks shouldn’t be trying to address racial bias on a system-wide level because they should just hold the individual responsible and society has gone crazy.
Don’t hold individuals responsible, don’t do anything systemic; don’t do anything at all.
