We met, long ago, briefly. He was only a few books in at the time, I was the convention transpo guy, and he was a truly nice person and gent. (The accent. I was expecting refined Oxbridge, “Allo, I’m Terry!”, rich as earth!)

Ha, I wish I’d known that then, so I that could have told him. We would have had a laugh, and he might have said something profound and exact about how people are all busy out front doing things, while real history is eeling around in the background.
