Snappers will eat chicken, you don’t have to feed them live animals. And feeding a puppy to a snapping turtle is plain freaking twisted. We have a pet snake that eats frozen mice (you have to defrost them in a cup of hot water first). This was totally unnecessary. But hey, science or whatever.
