Yeah, I can see that, resigning to end the ethics investigation. I remembered it differently, and should have familiarized myself with how it all happened before posting. I remembered him issuing apologies and seemingly feeling remorseful about his actions, but I just looked at his wikipedia page and it said he later regretted resigning and wanted to run for public office again. ![]()
That said, at least the party believed in accountability in his case. And has been more consistent with that than the GOP.
