No. Fossils are physical things you can touch and see now. (Most) young earthers aren’t going to tell you that the fossil you’re holding in your hands and showing them doesn’t exist (most). So they have to have explanations for where that fossil came from. They’re creationists, so they’ve created a wide variety of answers. Somehow all of those answers are true!
