Texas sues to unmask women who get abortions out of state

IANAL, but i pray to God you are wrong on this. If you are correct, we are in for a world of hurt. And anyone citing the fucking Fugitive Slave Act to support their position is an asshole by definition.

Someday, I hope that Ken Paxton will be held responsible for the hundreds of millions of dollars wasted in political or desperation driven lawsuits he has filed and forced taxpayers to pay for in the state of Texas. Governor Abbott is an ass, but Paxton has driven the most outrageous fiscal waste in Texas government.

I can see the most extreme SCOTUS conservatives rationalizing their decision to counter your observation by referencing the most arcane and ancient material. The Maurya Dynasty Edicts? For sure. The laws of Ur-Nammu? Bob’s your uncle. Hittite criminal law? Why not? Crete’s Gortyn codes? Shee-it! If Alito felt that he could squeeze the appropriate “logic” from a scroll pulled from a mummy’s ass, he’d run with it.
