Seems low.
Hopefully multiplied by 20 for the number of kids killed in the shooting.
Also, it seems as this is just the fines applied before the trial.
Thread.
Heās made for US politics in other ways, too.
Of course, heās a Republican now. Yet another example of the DNCās political expertise in action.
Note that this article is not a criticism of Gallagher, but is instead a soft-focus lightweight promotional piece. Gallagher is described as a āconservative activistā who āran into troubleā.
The empire is bipartisan.
NYT giving out strange mixed-messages? No way!
Maybe reporters and editors are afraid that if they donāt effectively lick his boots, heāll come and slit their throats.
Not an unreasonable fear. Heās gotten away with it before.
Yep, thatās what I was referring to.
Have we not discussed the Republican addiction to projection to death? Well, hereās another one:
Among other evil things āInvictus is notorious for drinking goat blood in a pagan ritual during his failed 2016 campaign for U.S. Senate.ā
Well kids, lets hope that dispels any myths you might have about goats. /s
Other than owning the libs, I donāt see a plus side for Trump.
Like many former Illinois governors, Blagojevich is both a criminal and a Democrat
You could probably replace āowning the libsā with āflouting due process of the lawā and achieve the same effect, since at this point āthe libsā are the only ones actually interested in things like punishing people for the crimes theyāve committed while in office.
Donāt kid yourself: in the extensive list of high ranking politicians who have gone to prison in Illinois, itās a pretty even mix between D and R.
Please note: The Senate cannot ādismissā articles of impeachment that have been voted by the House but have yet to be filed in the Senate. Neither the Senate rules nor the Constitution permit any such move.
Iāve said before: what shocks other places gets a jaded side-eye from Chicago. To get away with things in Illinois, you have to be good. None of this half-assery you can pull elsewhere. Illinois, and especially Chicago, have too long a history. The fact that these guys are in jail also means thereās also a history of doing something about it.
There was a joke doing the rounds in 2012 that if you were sitting in a room, and you look around and see two Illinois governors, then youāre probably in prison.
When I was in school in WV, every single living ex-gov was in prison. That is a streak to be proud of!
