The Rent's Too Damned High: 15,000 words on the ways real-estate speculation and inequality have killed NYC

Ha. I’ve only visited Boston a half dozen times but I could guess the problem immediately: development NIMBY in all those sprawling low density neighborhoods along train lines like Jamaica Plains that are ripe for more density. I was startled by how much of Boston is what I would call suburb. My BiL has a single family on a 60x150 lot.
