Wouldn’t surprise me at all if this subreddit turns out to be a better source of information about COVID-19 than the often sensationalist mainstream media. Yes, there are mainstream media outlets that publish stuff worth reading or watching. But during the height of the AIDS epidemic, the gay press and gay community were better sources of information on the epidemic and how to survive it than most of the stuff coming from the mainstream media.
In other words, this sounds to me like a better news outlet than say, Fox News or CNN.
