And I strongly disagree. Blurred Lines has a similar-ish feel, but no melodic similarities, no lyrical similarities, or even the same chord progression. All it really has is a prominent cowbell (playing a different pattern) and a bass part with some loose similarities. In terms of copyright, it’s no different from trying to claim that two novels involving vampires are the same thing. The differences are more significant than the similarities.
