OT, but I had a fun moment recently with my ‘kids’ (adults) because we speak multiple languages and were joking around in French (or was it German?) and I used the vous form, was corrected (they’re my kids, thus informal), and had to remind them that since they add up to more than one, I still had to use the vouvoyer form. I got an “oh, duh!” from both of them!
