As for the dig at southerners persons-of-color, if you’re not the kind of southerner person-of-color being dug at, why does it bother you? People outside the south who are not persons-of-color know that of course not ALL white southerners persons-of-color are “like that.”

Does the objection make more sense now?

Also, are non-white southerners immune from Tea-party-esque foolishness? The choice of the adjective white was yours alone.
