Mickey knows he’s an expendable clone (“Expendable” is his literal job title) and part of his job is to get regular memory backups so each new iteration retains as many of the previous one’s experiences as possible. They even cover that in the trailer. So the questions of identity and morality are fundamentally different in his case (the “Ship of Theseus” is referenced regularly).
