Not even remotely. The WWF (now WWE) was pretty much the only pro-wrestling league to go national the way it did. Prior to that, most wrestling leagues were regional affairs, which were sort of governed by teh National Wrestling Alliance. World Championship Wrestling was the biggest player there, and eventually merged with the WWE, which is what we know today (lots of the old WCW stars eventually became known outside of the southern region thanks to that merging (Rick Flair, Sting, the Steiner Brothers, to name a few I remember)…
