He cares more about power than he does about having a moral center. He saw an opportunity to find himself in a more powerful position in society, and he took it.

We all know someone who used to be ok, then they got promoted and the power went to their head.

Vance is like that, except there’s no proof he used to be ok.

That creep and its master aren’t immoral, they’re amoral, as are all those other creatures who’ve hopped and slithered and slimily insinuated themselves onto the fash bandwagon. Not a single redeeming quality among the lot.
