Isn’t it the general consensus at this point that there’s no way the Senate will actually impeach him? And that this acquittal will subsequently embolden him to strive for new levels of crapulence?
Yes, I wish it was otherwise, and certainly in November 2016 there were likewise plenty of people who didn’t expect him to get elected in the first place, but there’s really no alternative here, is there? It’s a wonder that even Trump believes differently.
