The ongoing saga of the briefing documents really demonstrates Trump’s cognitive issues:
- Can’t read a concise 3-4 page document, has to be made a single page
- Can’t read a single page, unless it’s all bullet-points and graphics
- Won’t read single pages of bullet-points unless his name keeps appearing in them
(And then there was analysis suggesting that the reason why various aides were appearing on cable news programs to talk about policy was not to describe Trump’s views, but to try to convince Trump of those policies because that was the best way to get through to him.)
Early jokes about how the briefing documents would be reduced to 140 characters turned out to be prophetic, not satirical.
