Not really.
If congress had even half a backbone at all they would just override any veto. Just 4 weeks ago, it passed the Senate 100-0. Now, 4 short weeks later, 44 Republicans flipped their vote to no.
What changed in those 4 weeks?
I’m all for people changing positions as new information becomes available that impacts those decisions. It’s not “Flip Flopping” when there’s a change of information. But, I can’t think of any new information in the last 4 weeks…
Bonus, he’s never vetoed any bill yet. I’m not sure he even knows how. More likely, he’ll sign whatever Congress sends him and proclaim it a great victory, no matter what is in it.
