For all the people complaining that we should just elect new officials, that’s what we’ve been doing! And once they’re in office, they say “Oh actually that program I said I was going to change is surprisingly effective in a way I can’t explain because of secrecy! And I can’t tell you more about it because now I’m elected and I’m responsible for its secrecy.”
