I am calling the Putin administration (and by extension the Ukrainian regime) proto-fascist.
Sure, why not, but at the same time I don’t think we need to go rushing headlong back into another Cold War for fear Putin is trying to become the Fourth Reich. Speaking of which, some of the opponents in the streets are apparently tied to neo-Nazi organizations.
Like I said, it’s a horrible mess. And, I think that’s Cohen’s point. Maybe he’s underestimating a dire threat of Russia to the United States in the near future, but I kind of doubt that considering his credentials and experience.
I think he’s more worried about all the destabilization western forces have already contributed to the messed up situation and it’s something he’s been warning us about for quite a while.
Russia on the other hand is already collapsing.
