The tin-foil angle (as @G_r_ld_z_n_r mentioned) is that Trump has asked Ukraine to investigate Biden’s son’s dealings in the country… planning for a 2020 October surprise. The juiciest theory I’ve heard is that Bolton was fired because he went to Ukraine and basically told them not to bother (this theory presupposes that Bolton is not loyal to Trump, so make of that what you will). As they say, “big if true!”
