And when used more seriously, it’s less about what the left plans to do, and more about what can happen if the elites keeps insisting that the rest of us can eat cake when we’re out of bread. It’s a warning from history that not being attentive to the needs of society across the board leads to social break down that can lead to mass violence like the terror. That’s the whole point - DO something to fix these problems now, or it will lead to the break down of society.
