The UN weapons inspectors are being given less rather than more time to investigate than they had before the Iraq war.

The proposal is to start killing people to send a message to a dictator who clearly has no problem with killing people, but not to actually accomplish any military objective.

Assad obviously denies using chemical weapons on his people. So blowing shit up until he promises not to do it again can’t even achieve any political objective.

Syrians with no current grievance against the west will have relatives killed by the US. Don’t expect them to be grateful.
