I recently learned the word “yonic” and think any vagina museum should, IMHO, have a section on yonic architecture… too often sex positive museums cater to the male gaze, either directly through racy imagery, or just by focusing on the access to birth control aspects of feminism. (Fake allies love to only care about being able to screw without consequence and look at porn but freak out when talk gets real)
I’d love to see an exhibit that say, talks about how often phallic imagery is present in architecture even when it is not required for structural reasons.
But there’s no nudity and it’s not vaginal enough to giggle at so my dream will remain unfulfilled… I leave you with these photos I found DuckDuckGoing “yonic architecture”
