If anyone says “one bad apple”, remind them that unless that apple is removed from the metaphorical basket, all other apples will soon rot and the entire bunch will be spoiled.

At this point, it ain’t the apples, it’s the barrel doing the spoiling.
And some of those apples were already spoiled.
