heehee! yup… gotta watch out for the water cops!
i am routinely stopped more by law enforcement on the water than on the road. Coast Guard doing regular safety stops (i always pass), FWC checking my catch for regulation (if i have a fish or lobster in the box, it’s always legal) or county patrols checking for drunk boat operators (not me!). have only been stopped by highway patrol once in 15 years, county or city cops maybe twice in 25 years…
stopped and boarded at least once a year (sometimes more - especially during lobster season) since moving to the keys!
