Sorry to say, but that’s VERY naive thinking, at least for San Francisco.
Just the other day, a beloved local 72-year old shopkeeper was stabbed three times in the head with a weapon by an attacker/robber in the store. Shopkeeper will lose his left eye. He has no insurance. News link has a URL to his GoFundMe page. That is a local shop, local owned.
