When future desires and past beliefs are incongruent, desire usually wins out

You have to give it to the bible, for providing a clear example of this. Judges 1:19 reads:

“The LORD was with the men of Judah. They took possession of the hill country, but they were unable to drive the people from the plains, because they had chariots fitted with iron.”

Omnipotence isn’t what it used to be.
