One thing I do have to give Nashville: Nashvile Notation, in which chord changes are recorded as I-IV-V rather than tied to specific keys. It makes a lot of sense sense for session musicians who need to assume they’re going to spend a lot of their time playing the song transposed to whatever key is comfortable for the lead performer.
