This actually highlights that we are not equal as far as reputation and sexuality is concerned. Some people will be shunned by their family and relatives if they say they watch porn. They may even lose their jobs. Others have sex positive friends. Some people post amateur porn with their face unmasked. And, of course, some people work in porn. I would expect that they still have friends outside the business. At least, I hope so.
Porn actors usually have social network pages and engage their fans on these pages. That goes beyond a Facebook button on a porn site.
Something else: Facebook is used as a free dating site by swingers. I would expect that most set up a secondary account (which is prohibited by Facebook terms of service), but probably not all of them do. “Liking” porn may be seen as positive in that context.
i’m using iridium (iridiumbrowser.de/) with noscript and privacy badger, with my pi hole DNS blocking well over half a million domains. i know they’re still gathering data, but i like to think there’s less for me. if i wanna feel super l33t i’ll use lynx, but that’s a bit siily. ha.
smart phones are the fucking worst for privacy. i’m still reppin my flip phone, and the more i learn, the less i want to get one. i hear ok things about blackberry i guess.
I have a blackberry PRIV. It seems better for privacy (hard to confirm). It has some amazingly poor design choices for actual functionality. Biggest gripe being a button used to mute the current audio function, which gets accidentally pressed a lot (and sometimes will mute my wake up alarms).
cool, good to know. phones that get patched often seem to be the most secure, but google is still gonna sell my data. maybe an old iphone is worth looking into.
